Where will i stay?
Our base is located just outside of Bethlehem, South Africa. It is quiet and peaceful where we are located, with lots of perfect places for quiet time with God!
If you are single, we have separate dorm style rooms for the ladies and men. We have rooms/small houses for couples and families.
Is there an age limit for the dts?
No, there isn't an age limit for the DTS, as long as you are able to participate in the class and all activities, you are more than welcome to apply for the DTS. We have had students ranging in age from 18-60's.
What topics are usually taught in dts?
Forgiveness
Father heart of God
Evangelism
Nature and character of God
Worship and hearing Gods voice
Intercession/Prayer
And many others!
what should i pack/bring with me?
Clothing - Summertime in Bethlehem is quite warm, so shorts, t-shirts, dresses, etc (as long as they are modest). Winter can get cold, especially at night, so we suggest a warm jacket, hat, sweaters, warm pyjamas, maybe an extra blanket.
If you are a local we ask you to bring your own bedding, if you are from an international country, we can arrange bedding for you.
Bible, notebook, pens
Sleeping bag (for outreach)
Toiletries
Towels
I would love to do a dts but due to other commitments i can not attend the school full time, what are my options?
For those who would like to do a DTS but are not able to commit full time due to family/work obligations we suggest doing a "mini DTS". Classes are a few hours a week and it gives you a taste of what the DTS is like.
Are you interested in doing a "mini DTS"? Please contact us for dates and more information.
I would like to volunteer, what are some of the ministries i could be involved in?
You are welcome to join us in any of our regular ministries which include:
Street Ministry (usually on Friday night)
Newborn/Mother ministry (hospital)
Prison Ministry (depending on the date as this is not a year round opportunity)
School Ministry
Door to door/Street evangelism
Farm Ministry
Youth/Kids Ministry
If you are interested in volunteering with us please contact us or fill out an application form.
